DMPLUS Ethical Standards

A bit sad that this section has to be published in the first place. The quality of gameplay and the quality of new player's skills and attitudes have gone way down, as a result of childish behavior. Be it screen scrolling, mod whining, bot using, homering, whatever. Please abide by these ethical standards listed below.

Never use another players name. A lot of DMPLUS players follow The CLQ rankings and stats and the use of anothers name taints the reliability and quality of the statistical information on that site.

Never hang on a grap and shoot. It lags the server majorly.

Never use bots on the server. Enough said.

Trash talk belongs in the trash. If you want to have an intelligent conversation with someone over their style of play or whatever, go ahead, but trash talking is for insecure people who cannot form a proper informed opinion and back it up.

The vast majority of players do not want homers used during game play. They lag the server and clients for one thing and are not technically part of the mod. Please respect the majority opinion on this matter and refrain from using homers.

Never scroll the screen like an idiot. It lowers the quality of the gaming since everyone misses death messages and legitamite player chat.

Dont get into arguements about the mod or someone's style of play. The person your complaining about is probably a more experienced and respected mod user. Its also important to refrain from making comparisons of dmplus to classic quake. They have nothing in common and you'll just be labelled and remembered as a newbie mod whiner.
